Our Philosophy
Karate is not just about punching and kicking it is about character building. We believe that we should always aim to improve ourselves and show respect to others.
Tuition
Adult and children combined classes
Classes are normally broken down in 3 phases.
Kihon (basics)
The foundation of all karate is based on basics. this is called Kihon. During this part of the lesson everyone will practice kicks, punches and foot move movement. Without a good knowledge of basics students can never advance.
Kumite (sparring)
Sparring is practiced in many ways, this can range from pre-set sparring, to free style. the aim of this is to give confidence to the student that what they have been learning works.
Kata (patterns)
Kata, is where all the basics are put together in a set of pre-arranged movements, some of these kata's date back hundreds of years. There are many kata's and as students go up the grade they will be taught more kata's and also to perform them better.
